This may seem early, but it is important to find out the child’s risk of early childhood cavities, diet management for healthier teeth, and correct any hygiene problems. 1 in 4 children in the United States will have cavities by the time they are 4 years old.

Most babies’ first tooth erupts between 6-10 months old. At this time you should start caring for their teeth. A baby's teeth and gums can be gently brushed with an infant toothbrush and water. Prior to age 2, if toothpaste is used you should only use a small smear and it should always be spit out after brushing. Teeth brushing for children age 2 and above, the amount of toothpaste should be pea sized. Teeth should be brushed for 2 minutes at a time at least twice daily.

But, best of all, there is no need for a patient to hold unpleasant, possibly distasteful material in his or her mouth.

Then, while you watch, we custom-designs a crown, veneer, or filling perfectly suited for the patient based on his or her condition using the chairside computer-based design center.
